Doug Hemingway Memorial Region 1 Footy Regatta

Eligibility: This regatta is open to all AMYA registered Footy Class boats.

Rules: We will be following the Small Pond rules.

Schedule:     9:00   AM Onsite Check In

                      9:45    AM Skippers Meeting

                      10:00   AM Race Begins

                      12:30    PM Lunch Break (Provided by BMBC)

                      1:15    PM Racing Continues

3:00    PM No Races begin after 3 PM. Awards presented as soon as possible after the last race.

Entry: Eligible boats may enter by completing the sign-in form and paying the $10.00 entry fee,

Sailing Instructions: Sailing instructions will be provided at the skippers meeting, along with any rule changes. Good Sportsmanship is expected, any deviation from the code of conduct will not be tolerated.

Scoring: The regatta will be scored in accordance with the Low-Point Scoring System as set forth in Appendix A of Racing Rules of Sailing. For each of the 6 races sailed, one worst score will be excluded from the overall score.  

Prizes: Trophies and Chevrons will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in the regatta

Measurements: Measurements and Class authenticity verification set forth in the Footy rules might be conducted onsite on a random basis as determined by the race director.
